EU100A Algae Control
Algae tend to flourish where nutrients are freely available to them, usually nitrate and phosphates. These nutrients are present in lakes, ponds and lagoons ‑ due to run off from agricultural and other activities/natural processes including the breakdown of fish and shrimp food products.
The algae can be controlled very easily, conveniently and inexpensively using our material EU100A.
EU100A is a biological product specifically formulated to control the growth of algae and other nuisance plants.
EU100A controls the growth of these nuisance plants by out competing them for the nutrients that are essential to their growth. EU100A is designed to operate in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
Usage
EU100A is applied at a rate of 3.5 grams/m2 water per day for 3 days then 0.5 grams/m2 per day until the algae goes. The product can simply be thrown onto the water surface or via a feeder stream.
EU100A can depress dissolved oxygen levels and these should be monitored and corrected as necessary.
