EU10 is a broad spectrum bacteriological product that gives consistent reduction of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and improved floc settling. Reduced COD and suspended solids equals savings for your business!

EU10 is a formulation of Group 1 naturally occurring and appropriate non-pathogenic bacteria in very high concentrations. They are selected for their superior floc forming characteristics and their ability to out-compete Nocardia for their preferred fat, oil and grease substrate.

Bacteria produce enzymes that feed on the available nutrients and break down the waste. By selecting the best suited strains EU10 will improve the performance of waste water treatment plants.

Depending on the severity of the problem EU10 is generally added in quantities equivalent to 3% maximum – by weight – of the biomass.

EU10 is designed to improve the performance of biological systems by:

  • rapidly establishing and maintaining a biomass that is able to degrade these high grease content wastes
  • increasing BOD and COD removal efficiency, thus assisting organically overloaded plant
  • producing sludge flocs with superior settling characteristics that can assist hydraulically stressed systems
  • preventing the blocking, ponding and possible collapse of filter-bed media
  • preventing the build up of grease, oil and fat deposits on walls and other surfaces of the system
