Paper and Fruit & Veg Waste
Coping with waste water and biocides
The manufacture of pulp and paper and the processing of fruit and vegetables produce large volumes of spent process waters of hugely varying strengths and volumes. In addition these industries use large quantities of biocide and which can decimate treatment plant biomass.
EU100 Pulp & Paper and Fruit & Vegetable Processing
EU100 has been designed with the difficult conditions created by the spent process waters in mind. The microbial mix includes a selection of Group 1 non pathogenic microorganisms selected for their ability to degrade the pollutants contained in these waste waters under very difficult conditions.
EU100 is designed to improve the performance of such systems by:
- establishing and maintaining a resistant biomass that is able to degrade these difficult and varying wastes.
- increasing tolerance of biocides and pH swings.
- producing sludge flocs with superior settling characteristics that assist hydraulically stressed systems and reduces the use of sludge treatment chemicals.
- increasing BOD and COD removal efficiency, thus assisting organically overloaded plant.
- preventing the blocking, ponding and possible collapse of filter-bed media.
